They envision a peaceful world built on freedom, justice, nonviolence, human rights, equality, and harmony and flourishing of the Earth and all its inhabitants.
The elements of this peace have been depicted as petals of a flower and demonstrates the complexity of intertwined systems that constitute a state of permanent peace. This knowledge has developed from WILPF’s vision since 1915, of bringing together diverse women to study, make known and help abolish the root causes of war and the factors that are used to legitimate it.
WILPF’s South Australia Branch is seeking new volunteer members to help advance their rich agenda. Volunteer members are encouraged to bring their individual values, skills and knowledge to help plan and implement local campaigns with like-minded women.
They have the flexibility as volunteers to become involved in different forms of activism and advocacy according to interests and skillsets, as well as options to focus on the local issues they care about. Members are also invited to participate in national and international campaigns, committees, workshops and conferences, including the WILPF Triennial International Congress.
