Call 1800 Respect

Care Packs Collection

We're hoping this year in our Walk for Respect that you could come along with added purpose. Bring with you some personal care item(s) to add to our Donation Zone in Victoria Square - open from 9am, before the walk commences.

Every year, many wonderful support Groups walking in our Parade, help survivors of Domestic Violence to set-up new lives in new homes.

Often, these people flee with barely the clothes on their backs and often with children. Helping them to feel a little dignity and resettle into new, safe accommodation to reclaim their lives is an important next step to healing and independence.

You can contribute to a new start for someone with the donation of products or money

Products collected will be distributed to our partners working directly with survivors, to help them make transitions to new lives easier with a little more dignity!

See some suggestions listed below.

Donations ... you can also make a cash/card donation at the Walk's Donation Drop Off Zone on Saturday 11 October. From this, the Walk Committee will then purchase gift vouchers for distribution through Catherine House, Women's Safety Services and Backpacks 4 SA Kids. This is the most flexible and dignified gift you can give, enabling recipients to choose their own priorities.

You'll also be able to make donations on the day direct to these charities through their QR Code links that will be displayed.
